Attendance at Dawley Academy
At Dawley C of E Primary Academy, we believe that consistent attendance is crucial for the academic, social, and emotional development of our children. Regular attendance fosters a positive learning environment, encourages strong work habits, and allows children to fully engage in all aspects of school life. Our attendance policy is designed to emphasise the importance of being present, punctual, and prepared, recognising that every school day provides valuable opportunities for growth and learning. By setting clear expectations and working collaboratively with children, families, and staff, we aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment where all children feel motivated and empowered to attend school regularly, enabling them to achieve their full potential.
We understand that children will from time to time be too poorly to attend school. With the support of our attendance team, we aim to create a posiitve school environment where every child feels motivated to attend regularly and achieve their full potential. We share the responsibility with parents to ensure that our pupil’s do not miss out on their education, and set targets for attendance, implementing a variety of attendance and punctuality incentives to support this.
We want every child who attends Dawley to be an attendance HERO.
This means they are ‘Here, Everyday, Ready and On time’.
We encourage parents to familiarise themselves with the schools attendance policy below and contact our designated attendance team, if you require any information or support.
