Christian Distinctiveness

Christian Values

'I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.'  John 10:10

Our Christian values of 'Love, Peace, Hope and Trust' are the foundation for the ethos and teaching in our Academy and we believe these core values enable the spiritual development of all.

Our vision is to develop flourishing, caring children, equipping them with the skills and values to live life to the full.  Our aspiration is for our children to be people of hope and peace, who love and trust themselves, others and God.

Roots and Fruits

‘A tree is known by its fruit’

Matthew 12.33

Roots and Fruits is what we base our Christian collective worship on. It is rooted in Bible teaching and twelve Christian values represent the fruit that grows as the teaching is lived out in every day life. Each half term focuses on one value (theme) which links with the season of the Church year. Our values are on a two-year rolling programme and each half term we focus weekly collective worships around the value and create a whole school display to share with children, parents and carers.

Through our core Christian values and our Academy’s golden thread ‘Love, Peace, Hope and Trust’,  we want to ensure that our school is a place that enable children to learn, play, feel safe, happy and feel valued, where they are able to flourish and experience God’s wonderful world in all its fullness. We aim to provide rich, memorable learning experiences which build character in each individual child.  We provide the space for all children to flourish and be the best they can be. Our Christian ethos nurtures personal beliefs and attitudes, which enables all to seek meaning through life’s journey.
